Children’s University Coding Club

Come and join University Centre Peterborough for the Children’s University Coding Club

In six weeks you will :

  • understand the process of writing computer programs
  • develop mathematical skills
  • create computer programs
  • develop analytical skills

Using Scratch, you will learn programming skills and how to create computer games.  You will be challenged to learn new skills in computer programming and use peer support to encourage you to work as teams to create your own computer games.  These games will then be demonstrated at a computer fair on 8th May 2014.

The course is free and can be claimed as part of your CU passport, the course will run for 6 weeks from 3rd April on a Thursday between 4:15pm and 5:15pm.

The University intend to offer a  progression to this activity from September 2014.

 

There are 15 places available so please contact  ucpenquiries@anglia.ac.uk   or call 0845 196 5750 to book.  This activity is suitable for 7-14 year olds.

 

Please note students need to commit to the whole six weeks so that they can truly become the Programming Master.
