Main Responsibilities
To be part of a team providing effective and efficient first aid and administration services, projecting a positive and professional image at all times. To support the primary first aider for staff and pupils, responsible for first aid record management and organising first aid training when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Dealing with Pupils, parents, staff and visitors
- Answering calls and making calls to parents and carers
- Maintain an accident log as per health and safety legislation, providing information to Leadership Link as required
- Order and maintain stocks of first aid supplies, ensuring that first aid kits and all related equipment are suitably maintained
- Obtain and keep updated, consent forms for the administration of medication. Monitor the expiry dates of the medication, epi-pens etc. contacting parents for further medication as required
- Assist in the organisation of immunisations with Community Services NHS, distributing consent forms, organising the programme for the day, and assisting parents regarding immunisation queries
- Maintain effective relationships with students and parents/carers
- Contribute to and participate as required in school events and activities
- On occasion your hours may require some flexibility including additional cover in the event of a staff absence
