A reminder to our current Year 7 Parents and Carers that we are offering a number of small tours this term.

We are aware that many of you were unable to visit the school in the run up to your children joining us and would like to invite you to visit us and see them in their classes.

Tours will initially take place at 9am-9:30am on the following dates with more dates to come should there be demand:

Tuesday 17th January
Thursday 19th January
Tuesday 24th January
Thursday 26th January

After the popularity of Kingsgate Community Church's generous donation of 40 Christmas hampers, we would like to go further. We are asking for voluntary contributions of non-perishable item(s) from anyone that can help. We will then create and distribute hampers of these goods to families in need within school. Please may we have your contributions by 14th December. Thank you! Merry Christmas!

We are asking for any current or former students that have revision guides they no longer need, to donate them back to the school to be given to any current pupils please. Any subjects, any level (GCSE or Post 16), in good condition. Notes/highlighting/etc. don't matter.

Please drop them off at the main reception.

As we continue our Homework 100+ initiative, we have now created reading journals for Year 9 and 10 students.

Whilst independent reading is not compulsory in years 9, 10 and 11, we feel it important to build on the habits gained in years 7 and 8. This could be reading for pleasure and/or further subject background reading.

We look forward to seeing what our students are reading!
