How are you all doing during this recent lockdown? It may feel scary and confusing and that is totally normal. Doing work at home instead of school, not seeing friends and family and not being able to go out may be taking its toll, but there are things you can do to help. We know this is a really difficult time and students may feel they need to talk to someone about their wellbeing.
Please contact us by email on Needtotalk [at] kscs.org.uk with a brief outline of how we can help (please make sure your parents/carers are aware) and someone will be in touch.
Also check out specialist support services available to all students on our website https://www.kscs.org.uk/supporting-agencies
You could also have a look at YoungMinds, as they have lots of tips and ideas, as well as offering support and advice https://youngminds.org.uk/

Vocational exams update and cancellation of P16 Taster Day
PLEASE NOTE: Your BTEC/OCT Cambridge Nationals exams will go ahead over the next few weeks
Students sitting vocational exams this week were phoned by either the Exams Office or Mrs Leach yesterday and told their exams are still going ahead. The PM's announcement does not change this and you should still attend school 30 mins before the published exam start time on the day of your exam.
The only exception to this is if you are self-isolating due to Covid or are too unwell to sit the exam (in which case you should log your illness with your GP so the school can receive the medical evidence required to apply for special consideration) Clearly all internal PPE (mock) exams will be cancelled and for the foreseeable future Post 16 taster day has also been cancelled.
